The Cincinnati Bengals loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that eliminated the Bengals from playoff contention is not shutting up Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who continued to take shots following the 25-17 defeat.

The game featured some on-field confrontations between the two teams, one sparked by an unnecessary roughness call on Chase for a shoving match with Chiefs’ cornerback L’Jarius Sneed.

“I started it off,” Chase said, according to ESPN’s Ben Baby. “Their whole defense was mad at me. It started at the beginning of the game. You’ve seen it. Everybody’s seen it. That’s just what I like to do.”

Chase even addressed the confrontation with Sneed: “I just be under people’s skin sometimes. Motherf—er won’t fight me.”

Chase finished with 3 catches as he and fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins faced a lot of extra attention from the Chiefs defense.

“The only thing I (saw) Sneed do was looking at the safety to check into cloud (coverage) or double-(team),” Chase said. “That’s just what they do.”

“They got a good (defensive) front,” Chase said. “That’s it.”

The Bengals season will come to an end next week and will enter the offseason looking to get healthy (Joe Burrow is out for the season) and add more firepower so that they can go at it again with the Chiefs in 2024.
