Chiefs Not Currently Betting Favorites to Three-Peat as Super Bowl Champions

Are the Chiefs going to pull off the three-peat?

Despite being fresh off their second Super Bowl championship in two years, the Kansas City Chiefs are surprisingly not the betting favorites to win the Lombardi trophy for a third-straight time next season, according to Las Vegas sportsbooks.

In fact the Chiefs, who have won three Super Bowl titles in the last few years, are the second odds favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl, ironically ranked behind the team that they just beat to win this year’s title – the San Francisco 49ers, per FanDuel Sportsbook, at +450 odds.

To be far, the Chiefs didn’t look like a Super Bowl championship team through the majority of the regular season. The Chiefs led the league in drops and there was an obvious decline in the play of superstar tight end Travis Kelce.

But the Chiefs put it together and played some of their best football of the season when it mattered. The playoffs and, ultimately, the Super Bowl, proving that the odds may not always be in their favor, but they are perfectly capable of getting the big vision job done.

The 49ers are the betting favorites heading into the 2024 season, but I am sure that the Chiefs are fine holding another Lombardi trophy instead.
