Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith made his official return to practice on Monday for the first time since Smith suffered knee and hip injuries last week, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson.
Smith, 32, had no visible brace on the injured knee and didn’t appear to move with any noticeable limp during practice, per the report, taking every first team rep, which he had been doing prior to the injuries he suffered last Tuesday.
“We followed the steps, I feel like, of what everyone was saying needed to do and it was time for him to go out there, and he was there,” Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said. “It was great.”
Macdonald was asked if Smith was a “full go” moving forward – “As far as I know, I think he’s rolling.”
When Smith was out, Sam Howell took over first team reps. Howell was acquired earlier this year in a trade with the Washington Commanders.
