The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with former Baltimore Ravens slugger Anthony Santander on a five-year contract worth more than $90 million for a marked boost to their lineup, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The Blue Jays, who have struggled to land a marquee free agent over the last few years, land one of the best hitters to hit the free agent market this offseason in Santander, with the deal pending a physical.
Santander, 30, is coming off a career year in Baltimore in which he made his first All-Start team and finished the season with 44 home runs, 102 RBIs and 25 doubles in 155 games while posting a .506 slugging percentage.
