Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is on the road to recover from a season-ending Achilles injury but that journey just hit a major snag as he suffered a setback in his recovery, according to ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi.
The Browns are coming off a 3-14 season which saw Watson play uninspiring prior to the injury and the likes of Jameis Winston, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and Bailey Zappe all lining up under center with Watson out.
The Browns may be looking to move on from Watson as their starter, who has been a complete disaster following a blockbuster trade from the Houston Texans, and with a high end pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, Cleveland may have grand plans in re-tooling their team but will be limited thanks to Watson’s bloated contract.
