Georgia transfer quarterback Carson Beck has officially committed to Miami and is expected to make a formal announcement confirming his commitment in the near future, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Max Olson.
Beck, who started two seasons at Georgia compiling a 24-3 career record during his time, is expected to visit Miami this weekend after he surprisingly decided to enter the NCC transfer portal on Thursday.
Beck had declared for the NFL Draft back on December 28th, but has opted instead to join the Hurricanes in South Florida for his final season of eligibility.
Beck underwent surgery on December 23rd to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow that he hurt during the first half of the Bulldogs’ SEC championship victory over Texas back on December 7th.
