Former NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson is getting set to embark on his journey as the new head coach of the Delaware State University Hornets and made an appearance at the basketball doubleheader between the Hornets and Norfolk State.
Jackson made some comments to the fans, team, and alumni while at the game:
“ But, uh, honestly, man, I’m excited for your journey…to go to Hornet Nation” Jackson told the crowd (h/t Clutch Points). “We’re going to take it. We’re going to work hard. You’re going to surprise a lot of people. We’re going to surprise a lot of people. I don’t think nobody understands but they’re in the room for it. So, stay with me. We’re going to grind hard. We’re going to work hard. We’re going to turn this thing around. So, I’m excited.”
Jackson, 38, is hoping to elevate the program and has the experience to certainly help in that overall effort.
