As the Miami Heat try to find a trade to offload disgruntled All-Star Jimmy Butler they can scratch the Memphis Grizzlies off the list of potential deal partners, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes.
Per the report, Butler and his agent have informed Memphis not to trade for Butler.
This comes as shock as the Grizzlies are having a great season and among the best in the Western Conference with a 24-13 record and given Butler wants to play for a contender, which would seem to align with what Memphis offers.
However, it appears Butler has a specific destination (or two) in mind and will try his best to force his way into his preferred destination, but it won’t be with the Grizzlies.
