Wisconsin is set to take on the Michigan Wolverines without their starting quarterback as Billy Edwards Jr. has been officially ruled out for Saturday’s game, although Edwards did travel with the team, according to ESPN.
Edwards isn’t the only player who will be unavailable as Wisconsin will also be without their starting center Jake Renfro.
Wisconsin (2-2) will be looking to end a two-game losing streak as they turn to Hunter Simmons take under center for Edwards. Sophomore quarterback Danny O’Neill, who started two games earlier this year for the team, has thrown for 5 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
Simmons is a graduate transfer from Southern Illinois and played the final series against Maryland, throwing a touchdown pass.
