Arizona has agreed to terms with football head coach Brent Brennan on a two-year contract extension through the 2030 season that is set to pay him $4.7 million annually, according to the Associated Press (via ESPN).
Arizona also extended the contracts of offensive coordinator Seth Doege and defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales through the 2028 season according to an official team announcement issued on Friday.
“The momentum built by coach Brennan and his staff this season has positioned Arizona football and Arizona athletics for sustained success, and this extension ensures our continued ability to build toward our goal of competing for championships,” Arizona athletic director Desireé Reed-Francois said in a statement.
Brennan returns after a breakthrough season in which he led the Wildcats to a 9-4 finish, more than doubling their wins from the prior season, and led them to a 23-7 win over rival Arizona State and also helped them to a #17 ranking in the College Football Playoff rankings.
Arizona lost to SMU in the Holiday Bowl.
