There is a collective sigh of relief happening in South Florida and among Miami Dolphin fans around the world.

According to Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is fully healthy, healed and will be ready to go for 2017.

According to Salguero, a number of sources with knowledge of Tannehill’s recovery from a partially torn ACL and grade 2 sprained MCL, suffered late in the 2016 season against the Arizona Cardinals, say that the signal callerpassed a battery of tests that determine the stability and functionality of his knees weeks ago and he is considered to be fully healed.

The icing on the cake? The report stated that “Tannehill will not be any more susceptible to a future ACL tear in his left knee following his completed rehabilitation than if he’d had a reconstructive surgery.”

Dolphins team doctor John Uribe and surgeon Dr. James Andrews both pronounced Tannehill healed.

Tannehill is expected to participate in the team’s conditioning program in April, OTAs which begin in May, mini-camps and training camp. Salguero also reports that Tannehill will wear a brace on his left knee in 2017 as a preventive measure.
A rigorous rehab and adult stem cell treatment aided Tannehill’s recovery. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported in January that Tannehill was considering undergoing Regenokine, which is a form of platelet-rich plasma therapy made famous by for NBA superstar and Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
Dolphin fans should rest easy knowing that their franchise quarterback is ready to roll for the 2017 season.
