Russian boxer Maxim Dadashev is now in a fight for his life after the right side of his skull as removed to ease the brain swelling he was enduring following his loss to the hands of the undefeated Subriel Matias during their IBF light-welterweight title eliminator on Friday, according to The Sun.
Dadashev collapsed outside of the ring following his bout and had to undergo surgery at a Maryland hospital, and was placed in a medically enduced coma.
The fight was stopped before the 12th round bell.
