Buffalo Bills Looking To Sign Reggie Bush

2 Min Read

The Buffalo Bills are scrambling to find solutions to their growing running-back problem. With Karlos Williams’ four-game suspension announced on Friday and Jonathan Williams’ arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated last week, the Bills are thin behind starter LeSean McCoy.

Apparently, the Bills view veteran free agent running back Reggie Bush, 31, as a possible solution to their backfield woes.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Buffalo is interested in Reggie Bush and reports indicate that they have offered Bush a contract. Bush has not made a decision at this time and it is being said that he is taking his time in regards to making a decision.

Bush is no long-term solution for Buffalo, due to his age but also mainly for his inability to stay healthy. Bush appeared in just 5 games for the San Francisco 49ers last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Additionally, Bush has only played a full 16-game season twice, with the Miami Dolphins in 2012 and New Orleans Saints in 2006, during his 10-year career.

Bush stated earlier this year that he had no plans to retire.

Bush’s last productive season was back in 2013 when he was a member of the Detroit Lions. That season, Bush rushed for 1,006 yards ground and tallied more than 500 receiving yards (506) as a productive weapon in Detroit’s offensive system.

Adding Bush would be a good insurance policy for the Bills, but one that would come with plenty of question marks.
