Ronda Rousey Wants Superfight With Cris “Cyborg” Justino

UFC president Dana White said that a superfight between former UFC champion Ronda Rousey and Cris “Cyborg” Justino is still a possibility during his appearance on the UFC Unfiltered podcast.

Although the two fighters would need to come to an agreement about weight, White indicated that Rousey “wants to fight” Justino.

“Listen, Ronda wants to fight her,” White said. “We’d have to figure out what weight, [but] Ronda wants that fight.”

Rousey has not fought since she lost the bantamweight championship to Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November. While it is unclear when she will return to the octagon it is expected that she will fight sometime in 2016.

Justino, who fought at UFC 198, is coming off a second-round TKO over Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night last weekend, winning both bouts by knockout.

In the past both Rousey and UFC stated that any fight with Justino would have to be at the 135-weight. They may have to to end up holding a catchweight fight since White has indicated that UFC does not have any plans to open a female 145-pound weight class.

“There aren’t enough 145-pound female fighters to start a 145-pound division,” White said. “There just isn’t. Cyborg is one girl, floating out there, who has that type of star power. She headlined Brazil for us.”

“Ronda could do [140],” he said on the podcast.
