NHL Vegas Expansion Team Are LookingGolden In the NHL Postseason

Last night was game three in the NHL playoffs between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Los Angeles Kings, the Vegas Golden Knights expansion team is dominating the NHL playoffs.

In game three of the series, the Golden Knights were down three goals leading into the third period. In the third period, the Golden Knights scored three goals ultimately winning the game 3-2. Anze Kopitar had a goal and an assist, Alex Iafallo scored his first NHL playoff goal, and Jonathan Quick made 23 saves for the Kings, who trail 3-0 in a series for the ninth time. Heading into game four, the Vegas Golden Knights are just one game away from advancing to the second round.

In the history of the National Hockey League, the Vegas Golden Knights join the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Florida Panthers to have won their first three playoff games in franchise history. Pittsburgh did it in 1960 and the Florida Panthers did it in 1996. For the expansion Pittsburgh Penguins, they defeated the Oakland Seals winning all four games winning the series 4-0. As for the Florida Panthers, in the 1996 NHL playoffs, the Florida Panthers were seeded at #4 while the Boston Bruins were ranked at #5. The Panthers advanced to the next round by winning games 1, 2, 3, and 5.

Now, the Vegas Golden Knights are looking to join that club hoping to win game four on Tuesday, April 17. The puck drops at 9:30 pm ET, 8:30 pm CST on NBC.
