Early this week, I previewed the 2018 Dallas Cowboys. Now, we are moving on to our nations Capitol, Washington, DC. Last season, Kirt Cousins was playing the 2017 season under the franchise tag playing for a new contract in 2018.
After the Washington Redskins went 7-9 and placed third in the NFC East, the Washington Redskins decided to part ways with the seven-year quarterback out of Michigan State. Now, heading into the 2018 season under fifth-year head coach Jay Gruden the Redskins are searching for Cousins replacement as the starting quarterback position.
Currently on the Redskins depth chart at quarterback is Colt McCoy and Alex Smith who was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Washington Redskins. Another quarterback that was involved in a trade was Kenny Hogan, who for the last two seasons has been the backup quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
The Washington Redskins don’t have long to find the next starting quarterback for the upcoming 2018 regular season. Their search begins tomorrow when the Redskins take on the Patriots.
