Texans’ Ryan Griffin Arrested for Punching Window

Houston Texans tight end Ryan Griffin was arrested for drunkenly punching out a front window of a Nashville, Tennessee, where the 2019 NFL Draft is currently taking place.

According to ESPN, Griffin, 29, faces charges of vandalism and public intoxication for the incident at Hotel Indigo that occurred on Friday night.

According to police, hotel security followed Griffin after the window was broken. Upon officers responding to the call, Griffin’s left hand and fingers were bleeding and he appeared intoxicated and unsteady on his feet.

Griffin was physically arrested for his own safety, rather than given misdemeanor citations.

A friend with Griffin said that the Texans tight end had been overserved.

Griffin’s bond was set at $1,750, and he was released on Saturday morning.

Griffin is scheduled to appear in court on May 31st.

Griffin caught 24 passes for 305 yards last season for the Texans.
