Billboards Go Up in Los Angeles Courting Kawhi Leonard

Published

Let the bidding begin. Or, the courting.

Two digital billboards went up in Los Angeles, California, one that calls free agent Kawhi Leonard ‘King of SoCal’ in an obvious attempt to lure Leonard to join the Los Angeles Clippers.

The other billboard is a California license plate that simply says ‘KAWHI’.

According to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, the Clippers knew nothing about the billboards and had no part of them.

Leonard, 27, will be one of the most sought-after names on the free agent market once free agency officially kicks off on Sunday, when teams can officially begin negotiating with free agents.

No deals can be signed until July 6th.
