NBA Sets Salary Cap at $109,140,000

The National Basketball Association has officially set the salary cap as we all await the start of free agency on Sunday evening.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the salary cap for next season has officially been set at $109,140,000, with a luxury-tax threshold of $132,627,00.

The numbers are in line with what was projected from the league office earlier this year, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Free agency will kick off 6 hours earlier than it has in the past, and could see some of the most talent moving around the league than in recent years with big names such as Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, and Kawhi Leonard all available.
