WWE is looking to put together quite the marquee matchup for SummerSlam on Sunday August 11th in Toronto.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is in talks with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus for a match with Charlotte Flair, who currently does not have a match on the card.
Per our sources, we can confirm that this match is definitely “in the plans” and is something that WWE feels confident about making happen, and has already started planting the seeds for this match with Flair’s promo on SmackDown last night.
Additionally, WWE may pitch this matchup as a “co Main Event”.
Stratus has been more and more active in the ring over the past year, following a layoff of several years, and she looks like she hasn’t missed a beat in the ring.
Putting her up against Charlotte would give Flair an iconic matchup to continue to build her already impressive legacy, and would be one of the best potential opponents for Stratus.
