Mets’ Robinson Cano Out with Torn Hamstring

1 Min Read

The surging New York Mets took a hit when the equally-surging Robinson Cano went down with what was eventually revealed as a torn hamstring, according to Mets’ radio announcer Wayne Randazzo.

Cano, 36, came over via trade from the Seattle Mariners and is set to have the worst OPS of his career (.710), although he had been playing much better as of late during the Mets’ hot streak.

Cano has battled numerous injuries and a suspension in the past, and missed 82 games for the Mariners last season due to a 80-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance.
