Jets’ Sam Darnold Cleared to Return Against Cowboys

1 Min Read

The New York Jets will have quarterback Sam Darnold back under center for their Week 6 tilt against the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium.

Darnold, who has missed a few weeks while dealing with mono, will start for the Jets as they host the Cowboys, according to an official team announcement.

Darnold has been sidelined since Week 2 with mononucleosis, and will now try to help the winless Jets get their season back on track. The Jets offense has been simply awful thus far in the 2019 season, ranking last in the NFL in total offense, and 31st in scoring.

It’s unclear just how much Darnold will help an abysmal Jets offense, but having him back in the lineup certainly won’t hurt.
