Rob Gronkowski Hired as FOX NFL Sunday Analyst

2 Min Read

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been hired as an analyst for FOX NFL Sunday, according to NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

According to an announcement from FOX, Gronkowski will begin his stint with FOX this Thursday on a pre-game show ahead of the game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

Gronk, 30, who will be inducted in the Hall of Fame in the future, will be joined by Hall of Famers Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan and Tony Gonzalez.

When informed of his new job, Patriots quarterback and former teammate Tom Brady said that he expects “hard-hitting analysis” from Gronk.

“He’ll be good,” Brady said. “He’s been good at everything he’s done. I didn’t know that, that’s good for him. Good opportunity.”

Despite speculation that Gronkowski may step out of retirement to return this season, this new gig indicates that those rumblings were nothing more than just that; speculation.
