Steelers’ Kameron Kelly Arrested, Released from Team

Pittsburgh Steelers’ safety Kameron Kelly was arrested on Friday after he allegedly made “terroristic threats” during an altercation at a Pittsburgh-area bar, according to TMZ Sports.

Kelly, 23, was reportedly punched in the face several times by police before he was arrested, suffering a “busted lip” during the altercation as a police officer indicated that he needed to punch Kelly “multiple” times in order to subdue him, according to court documents.

Kelly was treated at UPMC Mercy Hospital.

Per documents acquired by KDKA, police were called to Mario’s South Side Saloon when Kelly refused to leave, and become combative when police instructed him to leave the bar, even tried to make his was back into the bar. Kelly allegedly had threatened a male member of the bar staff, telling him he would “knock out” the guy.

Kelly faces two misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and one misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.

Kelly has logged 21 tackles and an interception this season for the Steelers. The Steelers released Kelly on Friday.
