The San Francisco 49ers are signing veteran offensive lineman Spencer Long, according to an announcement from Long’s agent.
Long was recently released by the Buffalo Bills despite the team exercising the 2020 option on his contract back in March of this year. Long was looking to slot in at starting right guard for Buffalo, who decided to drop him in a move that cleared $2.4 million in cap space.
Long played in 14 games for the Bills last season, and has spent time with Washington and the New York Jets during his career,
