The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired left hander Robbie Ray from the Arizona Diamondbacks for left hander Travis Bergen and cash considerations.

Ray has posted a 1-4 record to accompany a 7.84 ERA over seven starts this season for Arizona, where he has spent six of his seven seasons in the majors.

Ray, 28, is set to hit free agency this upcoming offseason.

Toronto is beefing up their rotation, as they also acquired right hander Taijuan Walker from the Seattle Mariners last week.
