The Indianapolis Colts have bolstered the defensive backfield with the signing of veteran safety Tavon Wilson, according to an official team announcement issued on Tuesday.
Terms of the contract were not publicly disclosed.
Wilson was a key member of the Detroit Lions secondary last season, and stepped into a leadership role following the retirement of Glove Quinn and the trade of Quandre Diggs.
Wilson, 30, also improved his play, mainly his versatility, by playing in the box to defend the run, and playing back to cover tight ends.
