Fantasy Spotlight: Dolphins Running Backs

2 Min Read

If you have been keeping your eyes on the Miami Dolphins backfield for your Fantasy team this upcoming season, we have some information to help you lay out your strategy.

With two new backs in the fold in Jordan Howard and Matt Brieda, and a revamped offensive line, the Dolphins seem to offer some interesting fantasy options.

In terms of utilization, Howard is expected to carry the rushing load for the upcoming season, which would likely make him a low-end RB2 option for fantasy owners, and while he may surprise, he may be worth waiting on in late, late rounds of the draft.

Breida is likely best fit for free agency, as a depth player, as an RB3. Dolphins’ veteran running back Kalen Ballage is expected to compete for touches on the goal line, but due to injury and performance issues, it is unclear just how much leeway Ballage will be given.

However, if Ballage gets touches, it will likely cut into Brieda’s carries.

For fantasy owners, the Dolphins to target in late rounds would be Howard, and given Chan Gailey’s approach to having a balanced offense, it is likely to believe that Miami will have a more concerted approach to rushing in 2020.
