The Brooklyn Nets have hired Hall of Fame guard Steve Nash, a two-time MVP award winner, to become their next head coach, according to ESPN’s Adiran Wojnarowski.
Nash inked a four-year contract to take the helm of a promising Nets team, who played the entire year without superstar forward Kevin Durant this season, and without guard Kyrie Irving for times during the last season.
The Nets were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Nash is widely considered one of the best point guard of his generation, and responsible for leading the 7-seconds or less offensive of the Phoenix Suns.
Nash played for the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers, along with the Suns, during his legendary career.
