New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has been sent to Green Bay, Wisconsin and renowned surgeon Dr. Robert Anderson who concluded that Thomas has a mild ankle sprain, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Saints are set to play the Green Bay Packers at home in Week 3, but opted to send Thomas to Green Bay to visit with Anderson, who is also the Packers team doctor.
Thomas has already been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, but the team is hopeful that Thomas can return against Green Bay.
