Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle Out for Season

1 Min Read

Alabama Crimson Tide star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle will miss the rest of the season following surgery to repair a fractured ankle, according to Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Waddle, one of the top college prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft, could potentially return at some point late in the season, but given the severity of the injury it seems a longshot at best.

“It’s a difficult timetable to know when a guy can come back from something like this,” Saban said, according to Alabama.com’s Mike Rodack. “That’s something that’s going to be ongoing. Probably six to eight weeks before he can even start real heavy rehab, then relative to your position, how fast you can come back after that is really, really up in the air.
