Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa Not Ready Yet to Start

1 Min Read

Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa may be the future of the franchise at quarterback, but he is not ready to take the reigns of the team just yet.

According to the Palm Beach Post’s Hal Habib, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores says that the rookie signal caller isn’t quite ready to take over the starting job from veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.

“As far as him being a starter, we just don’t feel like he’s ready yet,” Flores said of Tua.

Fitzpatrick has struggled this season, but the Dolphins value his experience, leadership, and his mentoring of Tua, and the Dolphins are sticking with Fitzpatrick for now.

Despite fans calls for Tua to take over, the Dolphins will be staying put, for now.
