The Detroit Tigers are finalizing a three-year deal with A.J. Hinch to become their next manager, according to the Detroit News’ Lynn Henning and Chris McCosky.
Hinch, the former manager of the Houston Astros, has been considered to the favorite to land the Tigers managerial job, was out of baseball last season due to suspension.
Hinch’s ban expired after this year’s World Series, and he is now set to takeover for the retired Ron Gardenhire.
