Broncos, Garett Bolles Agree On Contract Extension

1 Min Read

The Denver Broncos have agreed to to terms with left-tackle Garrett Bolles on a four-year, $68 million contract extension, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Bolles, 28, had made it clear that he wanted to remain in Denver, where he has been having a breakout season after struggling over the first few seasons of his career.

Bolles had struggled with the jump to the NFL, and led the NFL in holding penalties by a sizeable gap from 2017-2019, entering training camp this offseason battling it out for his starting job.

The Broncos declined the fifth-year option on his rookie contract, and seemed ready to turn the page on the former first round pick, but Bolles has been stellar at left tackle this year, grading out as the #1 tackle according to Pro Football Focus metrics.
