The Denver Broncos won’t be making a change at head coach this offseason, as they are retaining Vic Fangio for 2021, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fangio is now set to man the Broncos for a third season, despite a rather unsuccessful tenure as the team’s head coach. Fangio has strong relationships with Broncos general manager John Elway and CEO Joe Ellis, and the organization recognizes the importance of stability.
The team also respects the approach of Fangio, despite some obvious flaws with his in-game decision making. It is fair to assume that if Denver struggles again in 2021, Fangio will likely be on the outs.
