The Atlanta Falcons search for their next general manager will include interviews with Rick Smith, Terry Fontenot, and Brad Holmes, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter.
Smith is the former general manager for the Houston Texans, where he was originally hired back in 2006, serving in the role for 12 years before stepping down following the 2017 season to care for his wife, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Smith expressed in interest in returning to an executive role last year, following the death of his wife, and was connected to the Washington general manager job.
Fontenot is the current assistant general manager for the New Orleans Saints, and was even considered for the general manager position with the New York Jets before the team decided to go with Joe Douglas.
Holmes is currently the scouting director for the Los Angeles Rams.
