Giants Offensive Line Coach Talks Poor Performance

1 Min Read

New York Giants quarterback was sacked a total of six times during the Giants lopsided loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and their offensive line coach is putting the heat on his unit’s poor performance.

“Good teams can pass block when everybody knows you have to throw the ball,’’ Giants offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo said, according to The New York Post’s Paul Schwartz.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones played after missing some time due to a hamstring injury, and maybe it was better that he didn’t as he took punishment en route to completing 11 of 21 passes for 127 yards. While Jones struggled with accuracy, his offensive line giving up six sacks did him no favors.

“Good offensive lines can do that. We were not a good offensive line the other day” DeGuglielmo said. “Yeah, I feel terrible about it. I feel terrible for the guy who is taking the hits, that’s who I feel terrible about it for.’’

The Giants will be looking for better play from their line and their quarterback as they prepare to take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 action.
