The Carolina Panthers auditioned a number of veteran kickers on Thursday, including Chandler Catanzaro, Lirim Hajrullahu, and Louie Zervos, according to the transaction wire.
The Panthers are looking for insurance for starting kicker Joey Slye, who isn’t exactly lighting it up this season, and missed a crucial 54-yard field goal against the Minnesota Vikings that may have been the game winner.
Catanzaro, 29, recently lost a camp battle with Graham Gano for the New York Giants starting job.
