The Cincinnati Reds are exploring trades involving right-hander Luis Castillo, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman.
Per the report, the Reds are seemingly shopping Castillo alongside starter Sonny Gray, although the asking price set for both pitchers is “appropriately high”.
Castillo, 28, is one of the hardest throwing starting pitchers in the majors and sported a 3.21 ERA to go along with a 4-6 record for the Reds last season.
Gray, 31, pitched to the tune of a 3.70 ERA along with a 5-3 record.
The Reds have already traded Raisel Iglesias for the Los Angeles Angels for an essential salary dump.
