Isaiah Wilson Says He is Done with Titans in Deleted Tweet

2 Min Read

Tennessee Titans 2020 first round draft pick Isaiah Wilson didn’t take being called out by general manager Jon Robinson in stride, saying in a since-deleted tweet that he is  “done with football as a Titan”, according to ESPN’s Turron Davenport.

Last week, Robinson indicated that he had not spoken to Wilson in months adding that Wilson needed to make a decision on whether or not he wants to play in the National Football League, which irked Wilson, who has had a rocky start to his NFL career.

Prior to the start of the regular season, Wilson was cited for attending a college party, and was arrested in September for a DUI.

Wilson played in just one game with the Titans last season, logging four total snaps during Week 12 action before being placed on the non-football injury list by the Titans, which effectively ended his rookie season.

Given recent developments, it appears that the bridge is burned between Wilson and the Titans, who seemingly just wasted a valuable first round draft pick on the Georgia product, and may already have to move on.

The Titans signed Wilson to a four-year, $11.6 million contract in August, and would have a $5.4 million salary-cap charge if they choose to release him.
