Charlotte Hornets rookie guard LaMelo Ball has had an impressive start to his NBA career, earning Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month honors along the way, and now he has been praised by one of the veteran coaches in the NBA.
“I think Ball is showing what he’s going to be” Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers said, according to Hornets reporter Rod Boone. “He’s going to be a terrific player.”
Ball scored 22 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and added 3 assists as his Hornets lost to the 76ers recently, but his performance and impact on the game certainly left an impression on the long-time NBA coach.
Ball is averaging 12.2 points per game and over 6 dimes a game this season for the Hornets.
