The New Orleans Saints have hired former Dallas Cowboys’ passing game coordinator and defensive play-caller Kris Richard to be their new secondary coach, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Richard, who a few years ago was in the running for a few NFL head coaching opportunities, was recently talking to the Green Bay Packers about their defensive coordinator job, and also interviews with the Las Vegas Raiders about their defensive coordinator opening, which ended up going to Gus Bradley.
Richard was with the Cowboys until the 2019 season and spent the 2020 season out of the league.
