Dolphins Trade Ereck Flowers to Washington

1 Min Read

The Miami Dolphins have traded veteran guard Ereck Flowers to the Washington Football Team in a deal that includes a swap of late round draft picks, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

The Dolphins cleared up cap space by dealing Flowers, whom they signed to a three-year, $30 million contract during the 2020 offseason. Flowers heads back to Washington, where he revitalized his career by moving from tackle to guard, prior to hitting free agency.

Flowers started 14 games at left guard for the Dolphins during the 2020 season, garnering decent grades from Pro Football Focus, where he ranked as the 32nd guard in the league based off his performace.
