The Washington Wizards will be searching for a new head coach after Scott Brooks departed following the two sides failing to come to an agreement on a new contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
During his five seasons with the team, Brooks was 183-207 with three playoff appearances, including making the Eastern Conference semifinals back in 2016-2017, but despite the presence of All-Stars Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook the Wizards posted a 34-38 record this season.
Washington will also have to deal with the future of Beal, who is entering the final year of his contract next season, and has been a constant name mentioned in trade rumors.
