The Jacksonville Jaguars have released tight end Tim Tebow, who was attempting to make a comeback as a tight end after spending the first part of his NFL career playing quarterback, according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco.
Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, was one of the players released during the team’s first round of roster cuts. Tebow released the following message shortly thereafter, on his official Twitter page.

Tebow signed a one-year contract with the Jaguars back in May and impressively looked pretty solid playing his new position. However, Tebow’s inability and inexperience in blocked eventually bubbled up in training camp.
