The New York Jets are bringing in veteran linebacker Reuben Foster for a workout on Thursday, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Foster has played his entire NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers, but has not played since October 2018 when he was cut by the 49ers following his latest legal issue. While Foster was ultimately claimed by the Washington Football Team, he never played a down for them.
Foster suffered a torn ACL in 2019 which further derailed his career.
Foster does have some familiarity with the Jets, as head coach Robert Saleh was the 49ers defensive coordinator when Foster was in San Francisco.
