Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard Making Impact On the Sidelines

1 Min Read

The Los Angeles Clippers may be without superstar Kawhi Leonard for the time being, but Leonard is still making an impact on his team from the sidelines, where Leonard has become more of a vocal leader as the Clippers prepare to embark on the 2021-2022 season.

“He’s a good coach, and he’s like that actually” Clippers forward Nicolas Batum said, according to The Orange County Register. “So that’s good to have around because, you know, we miss him, but he can still have an impact on the team anyway.”

“He’s not like the loudest one, but no, he knows what to say, what to do. When he has (something) to say, especially on the side when we play five-on-five … he’ll take guys on the side and tell you what he sees, what he just saw the last previous play.”

Leonard is still recovering from the partial tear of his right ACL during the NBA Playoffs last season, and while he underwent surgery in July, his return timetable to the Clippers remains uncertain.
