Broncos Trade for Russell Wilson

The Denver Broncos have acquired veteran quarterback Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks as part of a trade for what is being described as a “significant package”, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As part of the trade, the Seahawks will receiver Broncos young quarterback Drew Lock and defensive lineman Shelby Harris, along with multiple first round picks, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.

Wilson, 33,  is expected to waive his no-trade clause to push the deal through, and he gives the Broncos their first true franchise quarterback since Peyton Manning. Seattle was quietly listening to offers for Wilson this offseason, and reports indicate that over a dozen teams as being interested.
