Bradley Beal Responds to Report He Will Decline Player Option, Become Free Agent

The status of Washington Wizards superstar Bradley Beal has been a topic of both rumors and reports for the better part of two years, and many are speculating that Beal could finally change uniforms this offseason.

Now, a new report is stoking the flames, and it even prompted a response from Beal himself.

According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, Beal reportedly will decline his $36.4 million player option for the 2022-2023 season, and doing so will allow Beal to his the unrestricted free agency market this summer.

While the report certainly sent fans into a frenzy, Beal chimed in with his own take, dousing water on the fire; “Wait huh? Lol” Beal said on his official Twitter page.

Beal’s future with the Wizards again remains up in the air.
