Cleveland Browns players are talking up the upcoming debut of quarterback Deshaun Watson, whom the team acquired in a blockbuster offseason trade with the Houston Texans, and who has finished serving an 11-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy by committing sexual assault.

Watson, who had to pay a $5 million fine and undergo a mandatory treatment program, is set to debut against his former team, the Texans exactly 700 days since he last played in a regular-season game this Sunday.

“We’re all excited,” said Browns running back Nick Chubb, according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter. “We’ve waited a long time for him to come back.”

“He’s special — he’s a playmaker,” Chubb said of Watson.  “He puts the ball exactly where he needs it go. Guys like that. Guys are excited.”

“He’s a great player,” Browns cornerback Denzel Ward said of Watson. “You can’t go wrong with great players.”

“There’s an excitement, for sure,” Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah said of Watson. “We know what he can do with what we’ve seen so far. So looking forward to seeing him [play].”
